End of 2024 season presentation evening and Best of Season Print and PDI competition.
Well the tuxedos and fancy ball gowns didn’t make an appearance (much to the disappointment of the Webmaster) but there were all the same plenty of excellent images with awards being handed out with great gusto.
We started the evening off with the ‘Best of Season’ print and PDI competition with each member submitting just one print and PDI from their entries in 2024. So the quality and standard was very high bearing in mind most of the entries had hit a mark of 10 in their original competitions.
Pat Couder provided the judging expertise and in her own words was going to be very very picky considering the nature of the competition. We even had comments around the quality of the mount cutting so it was going to be very serious indeed!
The prints came first with some excellent feedback from Pat. Ultimately Julie Hawton was awarded Best Print of the Season for ‘The Ballerina’ (see below).
As for the PDI’s, Ron Jarvis came first with his entry “Night Time” - which has a wonderful painterly finish (see below).
And below we have our winning members receiving their awards from Pat Couder. Far too many to name individually but you can probably read their names on the trophies!
