The climax to the competition season arrives!

And yes the year is coming to its end and inevitably the club enters the last phases of the competition season with the print section for both Portrait and Record (separately of course!).

Nick Ryan provided the judging expertise in what was an excellent evening with a huge range of seriously good quality images.

Highlight of the evening - Bill Metson running amok in the Record section with two 10/10 scores and Janet Kent having to practice her French language skills to the extreme due to the titles of several of the prints (much to the amusement of one or two of the more mischievous members).

Anyway some of the Record entries are below.

The Tomb of Robert Lord Hungerford, Salisbury Cathedral by Bill Metson

The Choir, Octagon and Nave, Ely Cathedral by Bill Metson

Danson House by Mick Sadler

Millennium Window, Southwell Minster by Paul Adams

And then we had the Portrait Print competition, which was even harder for Nick Ryan to adjudicate on with the number of quality images submitted. Again it got a bit tight in the final run up with a number of prints being ‘held back’ by Nick (i.e. he thought them worthy of careful consideration). Ultimately Bill Metson, Mick Sadler, Richard Winston and Simon Smith took the top marks. Those are also below for your delight and delectation!

‘Freckles’ by Simon Smith

‘Lottie’ by Bill Metson

‘Lola’ by Mick Sadler

‘Sam’ by Richard Winston
